My name is Lance Shull, and i have been an avid bridge player for twelve years. I started playing in my early 20s, and quickly became addicted. I have collected and read a veritable library of bridge books, and my passion for the game remains strong. I also have a passion for teaching. I get extreme satisfaction out of helping others succeed.
I have merged these two interests and am teaching bridge classes. My style is very fluid and student-led, with an informal atmosphere. Lesson topics include bidding conventions, how to play suit combinations, defensive carding, improving declarer play, opening leads and simple squeezes. Sometimes we will deal and play eight hands and talk about the situations that arise and what you should be thinking.
I am currently offering lessons in the Raleigh area to groups of four. I will give private instruction in your home, tailored to your experience level, on the topics of your choosing and with the time you have available. My rate is $50 per hour, with a typical session lasting two hours.
If interested, email me or call me at 919-210-1596.
